Problem Addressed

Verifying the accuracy of digital media is becoming increasingly difficult as more sophisticated technologies make falsification easier and more convincing.

Project Description

Hala Systems works to leverage modern technologies, such as AI, IoT, and blockchain distributed ledgers to address challenges in humanitarian threats and verification of the documentation of these events. Hala capitalizes on the global proliferation of smartphones, empowering civilians to participate in producing evidence and early warning of humanitarian crises. With Hala’s Sentry solution, individuals can use their smartphone video, photo, and audio to document emerging events, which are then verified and securely stored on a decentralized blockchain database along with relevant metadata constituting the veracity of the media being stored. These data are intended to be verifiable to the degree that they may be submitted in a court of law.
